Things have been awkward between us and I’m sorry. It was just always so weird to spend time around you when I can remember us being together and you having no memory of that. And that’s okay, I just want you to know that I don’t hold that against you and I never did.

I hope that you’ll be okay in the city and I hope you’ll find a way to be happy. Try not to work too hard. If you end up here for a long time, it’ll get really old. I wish I could offer more. You told me a lot about yourself last time you were in the city and I’m sorry for everything you endured. I wish there was some way I could make it better.
